This exciting new micro-brewery & bar led by two young brothers wanted a clean and fresh brand for their beer enterprise, a unique look and feel that will make a splash in the market.

Smart Brothers Brewery went with Ooze Studios to guide them in the whole branding process. We started with workshops to better understand their audience and objectives, answering the ‘what,’ ‘how’ and ‘why’s’. This became the foundation of our visual branding for the brewery – from choosing the right colour palette that enhances the visual brand voice to designing logos and other components of the brand.

Branding strategy that meets emerging trends

The beer market is saturated with complex designs and colour. You have different striking labels and bottle designs fighting for attention.

To stand out, we took the clean bold route – aligning the branding with Smart Brothers’ story, their vision and the passion of the owners. We then went on to craft designs that created a strong and remarkable mark for the brewery.


Iconic visual identity

A logo is a company’s most important brand asset. It’s a point of identification, a foundation of your brand’s narrative and when done right can trigger a positive recall from your customers.

This is was our creative vision for Smart Brother’s logo – a clean font with bold hard angles that hints an urban feel and is easily recognisable; an eye-catching mix of vibrant orange and strong black that oozes a modern style.

Visually balanced design

When creating a website, you can choose whether to build a single-page or multi-page design. It all depends on your content and navigational flow, and whether it fits your business.

For Smart Brother’s launch, we opted for a single-page design. It’s a simple yet impressive website with clearly defined sections and imagery that showcases the company’s story and its products.


Brand consistency

In branding, consistency is key. You can design the most amazing logo, but if you have a different messaging and look for every channel, you risk losing brand recognition – an important factor when building trust.

We developed a branding guideline document to ensure this consistency for Smart Brothers. Brand collaterals like business cards and corporate stationery were also created, applying a uniform brand image throughout the designs.
